What's the problem with Condoms guys ???

I'm not going to get heavy with this question but I really would like to know why, when you can get 'free condoms' that fellas just will not wear the damn things. What is the problem guys? They protect you and your partner against all sorts of 'nasties' with the added bonus if the 'one night stand' suddenly appears on your doorstep a year later announcing you're the father of her child - you'll know that 99% you aren't.

And don't all answer the old chestnut of it dulls sensitivity - that should be a good reason as it prolongs the pleasure time for both you and your partner.

So come on I want to see some damn good reasons why you guys just won't and /or totally refuse to wear them !!!!

Ivy, after having my baby my self and dave had to use condoms, but omg.... its not as easy with regular use , 4 a start we had to pay more just to get ones to fit, then when ur in a heat of a moment u had to stop , and if it was dark turn the bloody light on to get um out the draw, not all sex is planned and a comdom is a pain in the fooking arse, i take it you never had to use them by they way, you go on and i know u worked 4 a aids line, but
they not that easy, its tbh its bettter keeping ur legs shut or becoming a nun than digging them out putting them on, and if ur in 4 a long humping finding the lube to go with them,
But not every one needs to use condoms in the forums as most of us are married or with somebody long term and those that are single are 18 + so they all ready no the dangers and dont need a lesson in safe sex...., i feel preached to.
Have you ever thought on making ur own adverts am sure with all your advice on condoms and the dangers of bare back sex, that in its self is enough to take the heat out of any ones love life.

I do agree on safe sex with strangers and new partners... but i dont know any one in woc whos a dim witt..were all a good heathly bunch at the min.

I know exactly where you're coming from (s'cuse the pun !!!) and yes I did use them for years actually - when I came off the pill. The reason being because my ex was in the navy - away for months on end and we knew we'd want to start a family at some point but as anyone knows who's been on the pill - they tell you to let your body settle down for at least 3 months before trying for a baby. My ex was only home on leave 6 weeks at a time so THAT was the reason we used condoms and the moment he came ashore it was all systems go.

He was actually 'able' to put them on before we got to the point of no return so no interruptions of putting lights on, scrambling around in the bedside drawer were necessary.

Once divorced, there was no point in me going back on the pill because the damn things made me put on weight and feel ill anyway - the coil made me bleed all the time. The cap was a pain to use as our bathroom was downstairs and anyone who has used one of those knows the palava of trying to put one of those in, in a hurry! - so I used to try and 'anticipate' and then you had to keep the damn thing in 8 hours afterwards. So in the end just used condoms as they were so much easier, no side effects, and less messy.

So I do know believe me, but it would really drive me nuts with the odd boyfriends I had after I was divorced that some of them just said no - simple - relationship ended. So I was curious to know what the big hang up is with them.

And Betty, I'm not preaching to anyone !!! As we're all mature sensible adults here and seemingly from the posts put in or what is said in the chat room - most are having an active sex life - that's why I asked the question.

I don't sleep around, but I will say that there's nothing better than natural sex(no condoms). That's the way it was intended to be. I wouldn't go around to just any woman and do it. Gotta know her well and be in a monogamous relationship. Those peeps who are only into flings they need them.

i agree dartz ya cant beat the natural feeling.....why dont parents help there daughters tho??? i was on the pill at 11 not cos i was a little slapper but it help my periods but up until i forgot to take it at 15 i was covered myself. my mate took her daughter to the doc the min she found out she had a boyfriend and got her on the pill there is all sorts of protections out there but the thing is its each to there own at the end of the day

It just seems that the majority of the responsibility lies with the woman. I had heard quite a while ago that there was a male version of the pill - problem is could we ever trust a man to take the damn thing and would men even consider taking them. It would level the area of responsibility though a bit.

I get the natuaral feeling thing, i get it's not just the blokes job to protect the little fella but has anyone thought that the best reason for condoms is to protect from STI's. Chlmydia can lay dormant for as much as 14 years, herpes can evolve from a cold sore, not to mention the real uglies and has anyone heard of bacterial vaginosis??? Need I say that it's great ur all such responsible ppl for considering such an issue but lets face facts, STI's have more than doubled in the last 10 years despite pregnancy rates going down. I say more sex education at school would be a great start.

I agree and I also said the same but got shouted at from all directions with folk thinking I was preaching and personally hadn't had much experience and was only saying all this because of the type of certain work I'd done - so it's refreshing to see you say the same thing for the same reasons !!

It's a mine field out there now regarding sex, never knowing who has or hasn't got this or that and sadly a lot of folk don't even know they have something as they don't have any symptoms. So yes it makes such sense to wear condoms no matter what just to be on the safe side for all concerned.

Ten to one the guy who wont wear one is to small to fit one anyway lol and if he refuses then leg it because you can bet your last pound hes been all over the shop !
