I wanted to delete a draft that was sitting in my blog site but it got rid of the posted one also!!! :( Oh well! Live and learn!

:listen: I am bothered by the way some chat rooms are not monitored. Before WOC, I visited many chat rooms and there are some really sick people out there. For the most part, the IM conversations will go okay. But then someone crossed their eyes the wrong way, and I leave the site all together because the postings were so disturbing and vulgar. I don't mean like the way we get a little flirty here at WOC. And the little sibling-like digs and pokes and jokes at each other. Those are amusing and so far I haven't experienced any that truely were offensive. I'm talking making sailors and porn stars offended type of filth.

It concerns me that our admins are thinking about shutting down the chat rooms because they see the wrong things in there. :secruity: I hope they don't. I would understand if they did, but I would be heartbroken! Sometimes I just hate the way rude and horrible people ruin nice things for the rest of us! :bike:

I plead to all of you! Monitor yourselves. And if you have doubts about posting or chatting something, stop yourself and tell yourself "DON'T!"

Teenagers!!!

My daughter has so many friends calling her at all hours. I answer the fone after ten!! Most of them know not to call after ten pm. I let them know straight away that is too late to be calling anyone. Parents have to sleep. Now if she is already on the fone and it is not a school nite then I'm ok with it. (fone doesn't ring if she is on it. Call waiting beeps in her ear. Not mine!) :call2: Of course, I do make exceptions for the number that keeps popping up seconds in a row from each call. This usually is a teen in trouble. Some have called as early at 3 am needing to talk. Suicide thots. Running away thots. Could be pregnant talks. These are important and exceptions to my rule. They talk to both of us. I need to be able to tell if they are just calling to get around the rule or if they need further counselling. Or if a 911 call is necessary. We have three fones just in case!!!

Anyway, she has had a couple of friends actually show up at the door after ten!! No way!!! :( I have nipped that in the bud! My house is not grand central station! Again, if they fall under the exceptions clause mentioned above, we sit and talk.

She isn't the most popular girl at school but I think her classmates know her and me well enuf now to know that I am pretty cool with a lot of things and that I am still a parent. Not just a friend.

I love my free spirited daughter! I knew she was an artistic free spirit from the moment I held her! She likes the dark and decadent. She is smart in more ways that she realizes. I hope she can continue to be free!:D

Yeeehaaawwww! The weekend! The first weekend of May!! Always a busy time here! Planting, gardening, warm sun, cinqo de mayo, house cleaning, dog washing, porch sitting, music playing, swing raising, car washing, grilling, ...good ole time! :marchmellow:

Pizza, beer, good friends and laughter! Plans made for the summer. Camping, fishing, trips to other states. Parks, zoos, wild life, flowers, lakes, swimming, parties, concerts, the drive-in movies, hayrides, ... oh the possibilities!! :elefant:

Not to mention the sunsets viewed from the swing with a good cup of :tee: !!!!

I can't wait to smell the fresh outdoors while sipping tea in the night breezes. Sigh....
