Default Useless things

Has anyone ever bought something that they thought was useful..but is now gathering dust somewhere deep in the cellar...

I once bought a top of the range, cant live without, must have, new fangled veggie slicer.....only to take my nail and the tip of my index finger off!
The slicer hit the bin quicker than it could cut veg!

Tell us your purchase disasters....

I bought one of those "whistle to find" keyrings and omfg did it annoy me. Everytime the tv became a little loud or the doorbell rang the bloody thing started beeping. It ended up in the bin on day 2 with me resolving to never waste my money again.

well my fellas sister bought us a chocolate fondue set for christmas..sounds great but its just something i am never likely to use. it is still in its box complete with the 2 bars of chocolate. i'd feel guilty if i give it away so its just gathering dust underneath the sink.

I use a slow cooker to make stews and currys, makes the meat very soft and is really handy for when u are at work all day, put it on in the morning and when u get home dinner is all cooked.
