Chatroom howlers

Ok, does anyone have a favourite " crossed wires " moment from chat ?

I have a few, but this one still makes me giggle when i think about it.

I was waffling away in chat one day when i get a random PM off some bloke i don't know. We embark on a chat which he fairly quickly steers round to him being in a loveless marriage [ yawn ] So, there we are desultorily comparing the relative crapness of our respective marriages. There is no spark, i'm bored witless and can feel the life force draining out of me.

He asks me, " Sooo....Why do you stay ? " By this time i just cannot be arsed going into the myriad complexities of what anchors me there, so i retreat into flippancy.

I answer with one word " Inertia ".... I kid you not, without a trace of irony he replies...

" Ohh what a lovely name ! How old is your daughter ? "

I logged out !!

Don't know if any of you lot remember Riley but she sooo got all arsy once when someone called me wenchy by all accounts it's an insult, how I've no idea but where she came from it is.

So anyone from sheffield please fill me in and explain to me how "wenchy" is an insult?
