I met an ex off the internet. We were together for about 3 months and it was actually a very pleasant experience but then he went back to uni which was an hour away and we saw each other less and less. Eventually he asked to split (but not date anyone else) and rekindle when he'd finished uni...(in 6 years time!!). No chance mate.

Yeah so after that little life story I don't think theres anything wrong with meeting someone on the internet, I wouldn't rule it out again in the future. Just gotta watch out for the nutjobs.

yup it certainly worked for me, i had been married for 26 years, the last 5 or 6 being throughly miserable, but like a lot of people both men and women having no where else to go and there being children involved, (although mine are now grown up, if you can call it that, they are male after all lol).
my one escape was the computer, and going into a chatroom to chat to some lovely friends i had made over the years...trouble was my computer was having more and more hissy fits, and one day while in another chatroom i frequented i started talking to a nice chap who worked with computers and offered to help me out.
well we started chatting over the coming days and he told me he was coming to wiltshire (i lived in gloucestershire at the time) to see a mate of his and they would pop over and see what could be done with my cantankerous computer.
i liked roger 1 the chap i had been talking to as soon as i met him, but when i set eyes on his mate roger 2, my heart flipped, but other than seeing each other from time to time as and when i needed help i saw no future in it as he was still married as well, turns out he felt the same way when he met me, and we began to find excuses just to talk to each other never mind meet up when we could, we became good friends before anything happened between us but when it did, we both knew our marriages were finished (he actually gets on well with my ex) and that we wanted to be together,when we were, we were both so happy, relaxed and contented, i have known roger for nearly a year now and i have been living with him for just over a month, we are in the process of renovating the house he lived in , we have both lost weight because neither of us is comfort eating, so it can work, it certainly has for me and i have never been happier, my children accept what has happened and they get along with roger just fine too, in fact they find him easier to talk to than they do their dad, thankfully i'm still on good terms with my ex and hope to continue to be so, so if anyone out there is in the same situation, go for it, good luck and may you find the happiness we have.

wow lynx that is a wonderful story i hope all goes well for you and roger!i have a similar story but i didnt meet him on the internet,he was ma first boyfriend when we were 15yrs old and over 10 yrs of picking the wrong guy making the wrong decisions etc etc,i bumped into him at the bus stop!2 weeks later he text me and its now been a year and i am sooooo in love i love i!!!!!!!!!!!
