chatroom assistants.

i think it would be helpful to have assistants in the newbies room to help people feel comfortable, i know we have monitors but they only really step in if someone is out of order, i think it would be good to have someone to help draw people in to the chat, some monopolise the conversation, and that can be intimidating for a new person, what do others think ?

And I can bet you would be the first to volunteer!!!

well the best way around that is to not hog the newbies room n give the space to get a word in

I agree some in the room do hog the chat, but then again if they werent chatting no-one would be! Newbies, if they want to chat have to jump in with both feet and just sink or swim with the rest of us lmao

if theyve got nothing to say mollycoddleing them aint gonna make them type
if however theyre fit looking on their profile then people will probs talk to them more
thus involving them
plus it helps weed out the munters

Thank you dean...jazzys only been doing it like 4 ever..my self and shazza are new to it but were there.
And most old regs talk to the newbies, just because some dont pm or swop addys, mabe the new regs feel unloved...!!!
And barwench your so rite, when i first joined i had to to sink or swim, only there were stronger people in the room then,so if they think they carnt get a word in now.. hell bells..
Any one can see a newbie when there shy or just not willing talk"or in a words a chatroom watcher with no intrest at all" then we get those that jump in and become a great part of the room right away, some just take longer to warm up and they work out people b4 speaking to them.
I like think were All differant enough to meet those needs weather a host or admin is around or not!!
