Bluetooth enabled PC

Can anyone tell me the pro's and con's of getting my PC bluetooth enabled?
The mother board does have a bluetooth facility but I'm not sure of the connection. Is it a pci slot or another?
The reason I want to look into it is to see if I can put pictures from my phone into the PC.
Is bluetooth the correct route or is there some other nifty method lurking about that I've missed?

Hi there

If you havent got a usb cable for ur phone, its the best way to get stuff from ur phone to ur pc, even though its hard to use and not easy to setup, it does work well once u get it setup.

Had so much trouble with the bluetooth thingy we gave up in the end, I just stick the memory card from my phone/ camera straight into the printer card reader slot and it does it all for me lol, talk about easy peasy!!

im rubbish at it , but if you put the phone up to your cam , with the curtains closed and the light on you can cam things on that way from ya mobile (tip from bodge it lol)

i got a bluetooth dongle thing from ebay for 4quid inc p&p
i bluetooth all my pics to my pc and music from my pc to my phone...it comes with idiots guide on how to connect it as well.

Looks like bluetooth is a goer then bert...seeing as its got an idiots guide....suit me down to ground...thanks for the info!

well it worked 4 me so thats how easy it is... u plug it in ur usb, then slip in the disc, follow what it says then off you go..
