Question How many do you look through?

The internet has become a vast bottomless pit of information and thousands upon thousands of new 'pages' are being added every day. All the stuff that was put on at the beginning is still there, but how many of us bother to go back to the beginning of anything?

When you search for something, say on a site for wallpapers - you see there's 6,000 or more pages, how many pages are you prepared to search before you give up - up to 10? More or less?

And does stuff ever get deleted? Surely you can't just keep adding and adding ad infinitum?

And is there one person who is ultimately responsible for the internet as a whole?

things get deleted by the creators...or if there is something fundamentally wrong or illegal by exterior entities...however they are not just deleted automatically,
and theoretically u can just ad infinitum as u say provided there is enough computers with enough room to hold the data.
il search through the entire list....just to see whats there.
and no one is responsible for the internet.
the internet is merely an extremely large network of computers....so many that there is little control hence the large amounts of illegal content on the internet.

exactly
put an incompetent in charge of it cos its likely to fail no matter who you put in charge
for further proof of this
just look at the various prime ministers the uk has

Hmm me think all the prime ministers blur into the same after a while, they all end up screwing the general public one way or another!

I know lets have an admin and assistants to monitor it and make sure everybody is safe and warm. Technology will always evolve as will the natural proggression of life. An unlimited resource with mulitple choices is surely not a bad thing? Forwards ever backwards never.

You will find a lot of pages get deleted and no longer exist.
As for searching .. if there are hundreds and hundreds I just
try to use my search button to give me something closer
to what I am looking for. If there are too many pages or
items to go through, it is so off putting.
