age of consent

hi what do you think the age of consent should be. i know it is currently 16 but i think it should be 21..maybe you don't agree. tell me what you think.

I also agree with 21. The why is because at 16 you're still too young to have experienced the big wide world - at 18 you've left school and just begun working or maybe still at Uni. 21 is the time you've done everything, left school and usually uni and/or you've been working for a while so developed those necessary skills required to get by in the everyday world and interact with the public and basically experienced life as it really is warts and all.

In other words you're 'mature' at 21 - no longer a kid. You still do some stupid things but then so do we all but at 21 know exactly what you're doing and why lol

its not like anyone really takes the law seriously
around 90 percent of people lost it well before 16
and raising it aint gonna do one blind bit of difference

no it wouldn't make any difference to a rapist but don't you think the legal age of consent is still too young? it won't stop everyone waiting till the legal age either but as long as thats the minority then i wouldn't mind the legal age going up.

age of consent..... they ignore it as far as sex goes. the voting bit, i don't suppose they care.
