ive tried a few sites that were suppossed to be clean adult sites on the first one i was immediatly pm and asked to cyber sex. on the second i was completly ignored despite saying hello how are u over and over again. and on the third i was greeted with go and slit your throat as well as your wrists. so tthats my experiences.

I have just tried a site that reminded me so much about woc they dont allow the swapping of any contact details they where all friendly and let me join in the conversation but it just didnt feel the same as woc

I tried other chat rooms before finding this place and didnt like them but for the sake of the cause I visited three other chatrooms this afternoon. First impressions.... cattle markets. And if you're not cattle then you go straight onto the "pay no attention to list". Lycos was ok-ish, bit cliquey but polite enuff. Thing is I dont want to talk to spotty juveniles pretending to be someone theyre clearly not... and touching themselves whilst they do it. One room had over 100 people in it... very hard to impose yourself into that chaos.

I regard myself as pretty perceptive when it comes to people and its hard to do when you're just seeing typed words but I'd say 99.9% of the people I talk to on woc are for the most part genuine which is why I go there, it has an intimacy to it which is how I like things to be amongst friends.
Dunno if this has helped any... but its all I have to say about that!

Sadly I don't think the chat rooms are going to last. Whilst appreciating and indeed applauding what Mr Woc, Holly and Tara have tried to achieve I feel their ideals will constantly push them into conflict with selfish people who basically dont give a flying f**k... and that's sad because of all the time, money, effort and sacrifice that's been spent by people who tried to make their dream a reality for others to enjoy.

I went into **nope *** which was a chatroom made by banned members of woc, just to be nosey before,
and all they could talk bout was world of chat and slagging some of the regs that new them off. just felt that they had no other life then being in a chatroom didnt bring anything to it just got there kicks out of other peeps expense.I felt like a odd ball like I do on here these days
ive been staying in newbies cos when I go to the lounge it feels too clicky for me just feel out of place I do try and chat but the convos all bout there circle of peeps and I havent anything to add to it.
Its like im a newbie again even tho ive be coming here for 2 yrs odd.

I still think a hosted theme room would be fun.
like it use to be like in here,The hoster could think bout a subject or topic to talk bout and have a laugh with.

I do really enjoy coming to woc and I respect all the rules
and knowing I aint gonna be bombarded with invites to msn and private chat is so refreshing, in my opinion no other chatroom will ever compare with woc and no other chatroom has the same gratitude and heart in it like woc,tara and holly do.
I like to have a laugh and escape from life on here
so if i get out of line its for a laugh and a joke not cos i mean it

sorry for some negativity but I just feel like this is my time for an opinion now too.

There is no over chatroom that is as safe as this one and that u feel more comfortable in and welcomed most of the peeps in here are lovely and respectful like peeps should be im not into getting peeps addys or becoming someones best buddy I just like to have a laugh.
I dont think this should be the end to woc if we all just do our bit chat invite welcome and iggy idiots how hard is that?

i dont take anything serious on here
but what i do take serious is the time and hard work admin have done to achieve such a welcoming and warm atmosphere woc brings.

I hope the chatroom will reopen soon and let us have many more yrs of a chatroom with morals respect laughter and the most important one CHATTING.

I have tried other chat rooms before woc and the difference is night and day. I want to have a laugh and generally just be my sarky self, not in a nasty way just like I am with my real life friends. I can do that here. I havent been here too long but have enjoyed lots of laughs and its so refreshing not being asked do i have msn and all aspects of my sex life.

I would like the roms to come back as it was enjoyable just popping in for a quick giggle or plonking my butt down for an evening of chat.
