Chat Scenario !

[Mr Woc]

Hi guys

Since the recent criticisms of our abilitys to the run the chat room i have composed a scenario for you all to chew over, imagine a new person has come into the room and you are a guy, this is a pretty normal type of private conversation on woc :

Man : hi asl
Woman : 18 f uk u
Man : 25 uk male
Woman : nice
Man : You got msn
Woman : sure
Man : Whats ur addy
woman : whatever@hotmail.com
Man : mine is whocares@hotmail.com

Both disapear from the room and go onto msn

Man talks to woman for a little while, both then exchange phone numbers !

Can anyone spot any potential problems or anything wrong with this conversation ?

ffs the guy or woman could be a serial murderer, underage or total psychos..... never mind the fact that other ppl in the room can also take their addys and potentially add them.

It also loses people in the room and gives us a bad name and tarnishes all of us with the same brush, potentially sending out all the wrong messages and inviting people to come in and "hunt" for "prey"

I would not come in anymore if WOC changed into summat like that. I come in cos its a safe room and I dont get hassled for my addy and if some nutter does start then they are removed.

BTW whos moaning about how the room is run ? IF you don't like it and it aint to ur taste then why dont u feck off somewhere where u can swop addys and indulge in ur sick little fantasies with weirdos and sadsacks and leave the room to genuine chatters !!

I do see your point, but not all regs or newbies do that!
I have to admit to having a few addys off people from woc and a few have turned out to be very good mates, and well I'm sure your very aware of the fact that thanks to woc I have found myself a really nice fella (would have said boyfriend but am a bit old for them) If the rooms do stay closed it would be a very sad affair, coz it used to be great coming in even for a few minutes just to say hi to somebody, but the room has changed over the last year or so not all for the good. I could go on to say all the things i do like about woc and all the things I dont like, but when push comes to shove its woccy's site to do as he likes with, his trainset, his rules!

i dont give out no details for addys or e mails its not safe to do that you could be in danger fromm all those nutters and pervs so mr woc is right rules are here to protect us and i love this room to stay safe and us to just have some fun ta and xxxxxxxx to you all

I think you've totally miss my point!
I'm not saying i give my addy to all in sundry ffs, but though WOC I have met some really nice people, I'm not stupid enough to give it to nutters or perves (well apart from pete lol) so if you wish to quote me please use it in the correct context.

I agree 100%, I've tried a few other rooms and they're not safe at all. I know it's not possible for admin or hosts to be in allthe time but even when they arn't other woccys always help out. It's just a shame that a minority are spoiling it for all so come on guys tow the line; (afterall regs esp can't say they didn't know yr not allowed to swop addys) and lets get our room back..

beleive it or not i have never asked for anyones addy in that room
i have always waited to get to know these ppl and they have eventually without asking gave me their addy
i have always had respect for the members of woc and woc itself
(god thats hard to beleive but its true lol)
i would never dream of asking someone i didnt know for their information
nor would i so wantonly give it out
but then im not like you and chods

Everything thats been said I agree with totally.
The fact that it is being discussed here is, in fact, teaching the no-brainers a lesson in the pro's and con's of using chat rooms.
