TGIF!! It promises to be a lovely weekend here in the Adirondack mountains of Upstate New York. Our area is known for its leaf season. Tourists come from all over the world to admire the changing of the leafs here. Although we’re well past our leaf peak up here, I noticed that when I went to a dr. appointment in the city earlier this week, the trees are still gorgeous there.
So this weekend, I plan on driving around a bit and playing tourist.
Something else on my mind is the apple cider pressing event on Sunday. There are usually several apple cider pressing events this time of year where you can get a gallon of freshly pressed apple cider for half of what you’d pay for it at any store. Right now, it’s about $10 per gallon at the store. At the apple cider pressing event I will go to, they sell the cider for $5 a gallon.
Every year in early autumn I start saving my water and pepsi bottles. I then fill them with apple cider and freeze them. It gets me through the winter. Even though it takes up a lot of freezer space, it’s worth it.
What’s everyone else doing this weekend I wonder?
