Surely any working person will agree with me. Weekends are too short. Friday evening when I finish work for the day is such a lovely moment.
I go to bed with my phone, do a little reading or play a game, and I feel so relaxed, knowing I don’t need to set my alarm and get up the next day.
But then I turn around, and it’s Sunday night. The weekend truly flies.
When I want to complain about having too much work though, I think of people in China. They work so much more than we do. A fairly common schedule there is called 9-9-6 which is 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM 6 days a week. I am not kidding. I have a couple of Chinese friends who have worked this schedule in the past and they both told me that the one day they don’t work is nearly always used to sleep or do as little as possible.
If I remember well, when I worked in Belgium we had a 36-hour work week there. In the USA a work week is 40 hours.
What’s your work week like?
